Our Yearly Events

The Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet is the time of year when the Chamber recognizes the Small Business Person of the Year and the Most Improved Business Location. Other highlights of the evening are the presentations of the L. B. Henretty Memorial Outstanding Citizen Award, the Non-Profit Organization of the Year, the Young Professional of the Year, the Business of the Year, the Most Improved Small Business Location of the Year, the Small Business Person of the Year, and the Annual Chairman’s Award. Marketing opportunities are available for this event.

The Business Industry and Education Day is held prior to the start of the school year. At this function, the Chamber partners with the school system to kickoff the new school year. Businesses are given the opportunity to set up a display that will be viewed throughout the morning. sponsorships available!

CulpeperFest is the biggest event of the year. The festival provides an exceptional opportunity to put your business on display for thousands of attendees. This is a one-of-a-kind business expo with entertainment, food and beverages. Marketing packages are available for this event.

Before or After Hour Networking Socials are networking events designed for members to meet and build relationships with representatives from a variety of companies and organizations. Once a month, a social is hosted by a Chamber member. These events are great opportunities for members to showcase their business location and network with others in an informal, relaxed setting.

The Community Lead Culpeper Program is designed to identify potential leaders, educate participants about opportunities and challenges in our region, bring potential leaders into contact with present leaders and encourage discussion and debate, and develop a spirit of working together for the benefit of the region. The programs consist of 10 sessions and culminates with a graduation ceremony at the Annual Meeting & Banquet. There is a fee for participation.

Ribbon Cuttings are designed to help promote a  business or organization that is new or is celebrating a special anniversary. These businesses or organizations must be Chamber Members. This event gives our membership a great opportunity to network plus helps support those that are hosting the ribbon cutting. Contact events@culpeperchamber.com to find out more.

Women’s LIFT is Spring retreat event created to promote, build and inspire women in our community.

The Chamber’s State of the Community event is an opportunity to learn about key topics that are affecting our community to get a better understanding of how these issues directly impact you and our local businesses.

The Appreciation & Valor Awards is an evening to show our support to our local Firefighters, EMTs and Police departments. This is to include: Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department, Culpeper County Animal Control, Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department, Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad, Culpeper Office of Emergency Services, Little Fork Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad, Reva Volunteer Fire & Rescue company, Rapidan Volunteer Fire Department, Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad, Salem Volunteer Fire & Rescue, E911 Dispatch, Culpeper Town Police, Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, and Virginia State Police.

The Young Professionals Group host a variety of programming each year to raise funds for their chosen Charity.  Programming includes a Car Wash, Crab Feast, Painting Event, Social, 20 under 40 Awards and Days of Service.

Candidate Forums are held for the Town Council, Board of Supervisor, and state legislative candidates so members can learn more about issues and the people who are running for office.

A Legislative Breakfast is held each year in December prior to the next session of the General Assembly. Members of the community are invited to present issues of concern to our Delegates and Senators.
