Committees & Councils
The following committees and councils are made up of volunteers from the community and are critical to the function of the Chamber. Anyone interested in serving on a committee may submit their name by emailing email@example.com.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ADVISORY COUNCIL– The region’s leading, most active business and industry advocate. This council identifies and advocates for issues that impact local businesses and the economy. Meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Economic Development Office, 803 S. Main St., Culpeper, VA 22701
MEMBERSHIP & MARKETING COMMITTEE – Focuses to increase membership engagement and educates businesses on the advantages of membership and on helping the Chamber maximize it’s ability to communicate it’s message to the membership and brand recognition in the community.
SMALL BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL– Identifies, educates, and advocates issues that impact small businesses. Meets the first Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce office, 629 Sperryville Pike, Suite 101, Culpeper VA, 22701
EVENTS COMMITTEES – There are opportunities throughout the year to participate in some of our major event committees; Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet, CulpeperFest, and Women’s Lift Event.
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE – Offers a unique combination of networking, professional development and giving back to the community for the young business professional.
MAJOR INDUSTRY ADVISORY COUNCIL – Identifies and advocates for issues that impact major industry in our community.
NON-PROFIT ADVISORY COUNCIL – Identifies and advocates on issues that impact local nonprofits. Meets the fourth Friday of the Month at 3 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, and INCLUSION (DEI) ADVISORY COUNCIL will foster DEI best practices to achieve the highest level of economic health and prosperity for individual businesses and the collective community through a sense of belonging.
