The Young Professionals are thrilled to reveal our chosen charity for 2024! This year, all proceeds from our programming will go to support Aging Together, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in our community. Aging Together is a partnership-driven agency that helps our region prepare for an unprecedented growth in the older population, assuring local residents will have the services and supports they need as they age. Through partnerships, Aging Together has championed a senior services collaborative to support: meal delivery programs, resource guide for older adults, mobility outreach and more. They have also worked with the Chamber & Business community to support Dementia Friendly Culpeper.

Join us in making a positive impact and fostering an age friendly community that actively engages, values and supports young professionals, older adults and everyone in between!

Their first FUN-draiser of the year will be a paint for a cause with Wine and Design!  Voting is now open on their Facebook Page to the public to vote for which artwork the community wants to paint!

These individuals committed three hours every week, along with numerous hours of homework, to successfully navigate through a comprehensive curriculum. The coursework covered a diverse range of topics, including market validation, customer identification, personal finance, recordkeeping, cash flow projections, time management, brand development, prospecting, creating a marketing plan, hiring employees, and more!

Attending Culpeper Habitat for Humanity’s New Home Open House

We wanted to share some incredible news with you – We had the privilege of attending the Culpeper Habitat for Humanity’s New Home Open House, and it was an absolute heartwarming experience!

Over 9,000 volunteer hours have been poured into this project, a testament to the dedication and generosity of our amazing community. For the past 14 months, volunteers have dedicated about 2 1/2 days per week to bring this dream to life.

And the result is nothing short of spectacular! The new home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a spacious 2180 square feet.  This is not only the largest house in Culpeper Habitat for Humanity’s history, but it’s also their very first 2-story home – a true milestone!

Walking through the rooms, you can feel the love and effort that went into every detail. It’s more than just a house; it’s a symbol of unity, compassion, and the incredible things that can happen when a community comes together.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in making this dream a reality! Let’s continue to support and uplift each other in our shared journey of building a better community.
