Culpeper Chamber President Amy Frazier has been on an incredible journey co-coaching two phenomenal E2 teams at Eastern View High School this semester! For those who don’t know, E Squared, short for “Entrepreneurial Energy,” is Career Partners signature program, where high school students team up with business coaches to develop innovative business ventures.
One of our teams, Arca, made it all the way to the finals this past Friday and had the opportunity to pitch their business idea to hypothetical investors for real life business experience and the opportunity to win $10,000 EACH in scholarship funds.
While they didn’t clinch the top spot, their dedication, hard work, and invaluable lessons learned are worth celebrating.
Throughout the semester, these students delved into the world of wealth creation, public speaking, meeting deadlines, and so much more. They’ve shown incredible growth in confidence and teamwork, setting the stage for their future success.
There are so many thank you’s to make for this incredible experience including the Career Partners Board, Culpeper County Public Schools, Eastern View High School, EVHS E2 teacher Ms. Brandes, AMAZING co-coach Winona Pritts with Culpeper Economic Development, and Chris Smythers with Merchants Grocery Company for meeting with Arca on multiple occasions to support and assist them with important questions regarding warehouse management, staffing, inventory management and suppliers.
We would also like to extend a special congratulations to 3 members of our team, Morgan, Bella and Emma, who were awarded the Bod Jebson Award for demonstrating outstanding Leadership!
And a huge congratulations to the winning team – Helmet Hero!
We could not be more proud of our teams and of each and every student in the program. Your determination and enthusiasm inspire us all! Here’s to the endless possibilities that lie ahead for these bright minds.

What an incredible Arts, Culture & History Day with the Lead Culpeper Class of 2024!
On Friday, May 17th, our class immersed itself in the rich heritage and vibrant arts scene of our beloved Culpeper. The day’s agenda was packed with enlightening and fun activities that left us all inspired and more connected to our community.
First, we dove into the past at the Museum of Culpeper History, uncovering fascinating stories and artifacts that shaped our town. Our walking tour of Davis Street with local writer, historian and advocate Zann Nelson was a stroll through time, where we learned so much about the wealth of African American History and heritage in downtown Culpeper culminating with a visit to Antioch Baptist Church where their Historian and church members greeted us warmly and educated our group on the church’s vibrant 165 year history.
We then continued the theme of local church history with Pastor Dan Carlton at the Culpeper Baptist Church, learning about the ministers imprisoned in Culpeper and the pivotal role Pastor John Leland played in the religious freedom that we enjoy today.
Over a delicious lunch from Deliicious, Paige Read and Rose Deal guided us through a tourism workshop that provided us with fresh insights into promoting and preserving our local treasures.
A special highlight of the day was touring the Library of Congress Packard Campus with Chief Greg Lukow, where we witnessed the incredible preservation of our nation’s audio-visual heritage. Finally, we unleashed our creativity with some relaxing pottery painting at Wine & Design Culpeper, a perfect end to a perfect day.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible and to all our speakers and guides who shared their knowledge and passion. Lead Culpeper Class of 2024, let’s continue to learn, grow, and make a difference in our community!
