Wills for Heroes

Wills for Heroes provides Virginia’s first responders and their spouses with free essential estate planning documents, including simple wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. Created in the wake of September 11, 2001, the program ensures that those who put their lives on the line every day have the protections their families need.

Through the support of volunteer attorneys, notaries, and community sponsors, Wills for Heroes has served thousands of first responders across the Commonwealth since 2003. Sponsorships help cover event costs, including venue and refreshments, and any unused funds are donated to local first responder charities.
