Last Friday, Amy had the chance to attend Encompass Community Supports’ Stand Up for Mental Health Comedy Show – and it was such a treat!
The comedians (some you might even recognize from right here in our community!) had us laughing all night, but beyond the laughs was such a powerful message about destigmatizing mental health.
Events like this remind us how important it is to talk about mental health, support one another, and break down the barriers that keep people from seeking help.
Thank you, Encompass, for creating a space where we could laugh, connect, and have meaningful conversations.

Sarah attended Court’s Kitchen Fall Tasting last night and had an incredible evening sampling delicious fall recipes, enjoying wine from DuCard Vineyards, and connecting with fellow Chamber members and friends.
Guests enjoyed a preview of the 2026 lineup, featuring the new Cake Box desserts, live music, Azalea Field Flowers cart, a photo booth, and exciting raffles throughout the evening at the beautiful Barn at Autumn Valley.
This year’s tasting wasn’t just about amazing food and gathering together; it was also about giving back. Guests brought cans of soup for the Full Belly Project, to help stock local pantries and feed families in Culpeper, Orange, and Madison.
A huge thank-you to Court for hosting such a fun and meaningful event; no one went home hungry!

The Culpeper Chamber of Commerce was honored to attend the Aging Together 5 Over 50 Celebration last night. This outstanding annual event recognizes five remarkable individuals, one from each county Aging Together serves, who have made significant contributions to their communities.
For 13 years, Aging Together has celebrated the positive impact of older adults through the 5 Over 50 Celebration, and this year’s honorees were truly inspiring.
Culpeper’s honoree was Sharon Clark, Owner of Pepperberriesva and Founder of Pamper Me Pink Culpeper. Sharon is a dynamic and passionate business leader whose commitment to service enriches our community in countless ways. Through Pamper Me Pink, she educates the community on breast health and helps provide free mammograms to those in need. This recognition is well deserved, and we are proud to see her honored for her dedication and leadership. We extend our congratulations to Sharon and to all of this year’s honorees across the region.
Looking ahead to 2026: Aging Together will transition the program to “5 Over 65” as they continue their mission of recognizing the extraordinary contributions of older adults.

It’s truly an honor to serve on the Career Partners Board! This organization is doing incredible work in our schools and for our youth—connecting students with real-world experiences, career exploration, and opportunities that shape their future success.
I’m so proud to be part of a team that believes in empowering the next generation and investing in our community’s workforce. Together, we’re building brighter futures for Culpeper’s students!Career Partners: At our annual Career Partners board meeting this month, members
rolled up their sleeves for a LEGO Serious Play exercise designed to spark creativity and collaboration. Using LEGO bricks, our board identified organizational strengths, explored areas for improvement, and brainstormed exciting opportunities for growth and expansion.
A big thank you to Andrew De Nicola, Assistant Director and Adult Services Librarian & Outreach Coordinator for Culpeper County, for leading this engaging exercise and guiding us through such a fun, thoughtful process!
This hands-on activity encouraged fresh ideas and meaningful conversations—just like the innovative programs we deliver to Culpeper County students every year.

We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Stanley Excavating at the beautiful Old Trade Brewery. Owner Zachary Stanley built his business with a deep sense of purpose, dedicating everything he does to the memory of his brother-in-law, Sgt. Cameron Thomas, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, who was killed in action on April 27, 2017, in Afghanistan.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in welcoming Stanley Excavating to the Culpeper business community and for helping us honor this powerful legacy.
