We had a wonderful time today at the ribbon cutting for Mountain Spring Podiatry!
We got a special tour of their beautiful new office, met Dr. Jamieson, and learned more about the full suite of foot and ankle services they offer. Everything from diabetic foot care and wound treatment to sports injury support and more.
A big takeaway: seeing a podiatrist isn’t just for when your foot hurts. Preventive care helps you stay mobile, active, and healthy long-term.
Welcome to Culpeper, Mountain Spring Podiatry!

Happy Manufacturing Day!
A big thank you to Cabinetworks Group – Culpeper, Virginia, for welcoming us into their Culpeper facility for a tour today. We were blown away by what we learned: 16 facilities, 15 brands – the largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer Culpeper’s facility alone is 289,000 sqft Soft-close hinges? Developed and patented by Merillat So far in 2025, they have produced 24,000 complete kitchens nationwide
Even more impressive than the numbers is their culture:
Hourly employees receive bonuses
Strong referral and recognition programs
Daily team check-ins where every voice is heard
“High-five” cards encourage employees to celebrate each other
It’s clear that morale, engagement, and teamwork are at the heart of what they do—and it shows in their success.
Thank you, CabinetWorks, for your impact on Culpeper and for letting us celebrate Manufacturing Day with you!

Bonjour! Today the group had the morning to rest and relax! A group of us did a train tour through Cannes to learn more about the sites and their history! The whole group then met up for a boat ride to Saint Honorat Island – which has been home to a monastic community for 16 centuries! While we did not get to see the monks, we did enjoy the beauty of the island and the grape vines, olive trees and chapels on it! #chambertravel

Today we traveled through the Alps and into Italy! 🇮🇹 explored Sanremo and ate a delicious lunch on the beach! Some of us made our way through the rocks to put our feet in the Mediterranean Sea and collect sea glass!

Today, was a day to enjoy the arts! Our Chamber group traveled to Antibes to visit the market and view the beautiful sites! Picasso moved there in 1946 and created 23 paintings and 44drawings there! We then traveled to St. Paul de Vance where the painter Chagall lived. Monet, Picasso, Matisse, Dufy and more have also called this medieval town their home! We had a wonderful time browsing the galleries and taking in the views!

Today our tour took us to Grasse, the center of the world wide perfume industry. We toured Fragonard perfumery and saw firsthand how the flowers of the region and from all over the world are pressed to provide the essences used in all perfumes! We then traveled to the medieval village of Mougins for an amazing 3 course meal! #chambertravel

The groups adventure to the beautiful St Tropez! #chambertravel

October 9, 2025
On our way back to Cannes from Saint-Tropez, our guide Anke had a wonderful surprise in store for us: a visit to La Dramont—the beach where 20,000 U.S. troops landed on August 15, 1944. It was here that the liberation of southern France began, marking a pivotal step in the Allied campaign through France, Germany, and Austria that would ultimately lead to the end of the Nazi regime.

STEM Day Success!
Sarah had a great time volunteering with Career Partners for STEM Day at the Culpeper Regional Airport! She joined Christine from the Museum of Culpeper History to help students make their own hot air balloons and explore how heat makes them rise—science in action!
It was inspiring to see so many Chamber members there sharing their expertise and sparking curiosity, including Germanna Community College, 3RC Services, Cedar Mountain Stone, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Piedmont Area Soap Box Derby, Bingham & Taylor, UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, Euro-Composites Corporation, and Hexatronic Rochester Cable.
STEM Day sets the stage for the Culpeper Air Fest coming up this Saturday, October 11, a free community event that brings aviation and innovation together for all ages!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this hands-on learning experience such a fun and memorable day for our local students!

Photos from our trip to Monaco. Monaco is the second smaller independent country second only to the Vatican. The Grimaldi family has ruled there since 1297. The population is around 35,000 people and 1/3 of residents are millionaires. They are well known for the Formula one Grand Prix in which racers drive through the countries tunnels and roads 78 times. They are also well known for the Monte Carlo Casino. We witnessed the changing of the guard at the Princes palace, walked through the famous gardens and visited the Cathedral of our Lady Immaculate – the beautiful American actress and Princess Grace Kelly is buried inside the cathedral.

Thank You, Christ In Action!
A huge thank-you to Christ in Action for their generous donation of a dolly to replace the one we lost at CulpeperFest!
While visiting their National Headquarters in Elkwood, Sarah had the chance to tour their incredible facility. Their warehouse is fully stocked and ready to deploy at a moment’s notice with food, tools, and supplies to help communities in crisis. With an all-volunteer team, prepped trailers, and even their own canteens and delivery equipment, Christ in Action stands ready to make a real difference when disaster strikes.
We’re so grateful for their generosity and for all they do to support communities across the country.

Proceeds from this upscale thrift store will fund a future shelter for women and children, providing them with safe housing and vital resources to help them rebuild their lives and create brighter futures.

What a beautiful celebration at the Restore Peace Painting Retreats ribbon cutting on Friday, October 24!
We had a wonderful time connecting with our community and celebrating Nicole’s vision of bringing peace and creativity together. We planted perennial seeds and experienced the pure joy of putting paint to canvas.
There’s something truly magical about letting go, allowing the brush to move freely, and discovering just how relaxing the creative process can be. It’s exactly what Restore Peace is all about.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Nicole for creating this incredible space for healing and self-expression!

What an incredible day we had on Saturday, October 25, at Grymes Memorial School’s dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony!
We celebrated the completion of their beautiful new building expansion: the Penny Work Center for the Arts and the Lee Kane Gymnasium. These spaces represent years of vision, dedication, and community support coming to life.
The stories we heard were truly moving. From the remarkable fundraising journey that included a $5 million match from a generous anonymous donor, to the heartfelt tributes honoring the legacies of Penny Work and Lee Kane. We also celebrated the stage being named The Rose in honor of Dana Bost, beloved drama teacher at Grymes. There were tears of remembrance and tears of joy as we learned about the incredible people these
spaces are named for.
This expansion is more than new buildings. It’s a testament to what a community can accomplish when they come together for the future of their students.
Congratulations to Grymes Memorial School on this momentous achievement!

We had the honor of attending a meaningful evening at the Country Club of Culpeper celebrating Hospice of the Piedmont’s 45th Anniversary yesterday!
Since Hospice of the Rapidan began serving our community in 1983 (later merging with Hospice of the Piedmont in 2014), this incredible nonprofit organization has been providing compassionate care to 350-400 patients at any given time through their team of board certified physicians.
We were inspired hearing from President/CEO Nancy Littlefield, Board Members Gary Lee and Bruce Clark, and staff members Jenn Downs and Hannah Catherine Allport about the profound impact they make every single day. From hospice and palliative care to their Grief and Healing programs (including specialized support for children), Art and Music by the Bedside, pet therapy, massage, reiki, and their 11th Hour Vigil program – they provide comfort, dignity, and love to patients and caregivers during life’s most challenging moments.
Our community is truly fortunate to have such an exceptional organization caring for our neighbors. It was an honor to celebrate this milestone with the entire Hospice of the Piedmont team.
Congratulations on 45 years of compassionate care! Thank you

What an inspiring evening at the Community Investment Collaborative’s Cocktails & Conversations event last night!
We are incredibly fortunate to have CIC and the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center – CV SBDC serving Culpeper. Here’s something to be proud of: we have the TOP performing SBDC in the entire state!
Through Education, Mentoring, Financing, and Networking, CIC is championing entrepreneurial growth right here in our region. The numbers speak for themselves—in just 13 years, they’ve helped launch and support
185 new businesses that created 416 new jobs, equating to approximately $52 million in wages for our community. That’s real impact!
The evening featured an incredible spread by our Chamber member Darin Morgan with @darinsevents22 Darin’s Event Catering (who also shared his inspiring success story!), and drinks were poured by the amazing Valerie Huelsman of Boozy Aloha @boozyaloha! We heard from amazing local entrepreneurs including:
Dixie Aiken with North Acre Life Enhancement @northacrelifeenhancement
Darin Morgan with Darin’s Event Catering and the Muncheez foodtruck
Heather Griffin from @hundredacrebooks and Kanga’s Catfé
Their stories reminded us that when we invest in local entrepreneurs, we invest in the future of our entire
community. Thank you to CIC for all you do to make Culpeper a thriving place for business.
