Today, we had the opportunity to attend the Culpeper County Public Schools Senior Job Fair at Culpeper Technical Education Center!

Seniors from CTEC, Eastern View High School, and Culpeper County High School who are ready to enter the workforce meet with local businesses, share their résumés and cover letters, and even participate in on-the-spot interviews!
We were thrilled to see so many of our Chamber members supporting these students, offering guidance, and connecting them with career opportunities right here in our community.
Thank you to CCPS and all the businesses who took the time to invest in the next generation of Culpeper’s workforce!

This morning, Amy and some of the Culpeper Young Professionals had the honor of volunteering at the 9th Annual Living the Dream Foundation 5K and Walk for Hope — a powerful event created to raise funds and awareness for their work supporting individuals and families affected by depression, substance use, and suicide.
This day is more than a race — it’s a movement, a community, and a tribute to those we’ve lost and those still fighting.
The event is a beautiful tribute to Benjamin Long, and we are deeply grateful to have played a small part in continuing his legacy and supporting such important work in our community. 💙

What an incredible afternoon at Women’s LIFT 2025!
Hosted at the beautiful Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery, the event was filled with connection, creativity, and inspiration. Keynote speaker Sofia McDaniel shared her powerful story of learning to advocate for her siblings—an experience that ultimately taught her how to advocate for herself. She reminded us that staying silent can do a disservice to those who can’t speak up for themselves, and her words deeply resonated with so many of us.
We laughed and connected during our “Get to Know Each Other” scavenger hunt, and embraced growth (literally!) while planting roots in our terrariums.
We left feeling recharged, empowered, and reminded that our voices matter—and that we grow stronger when we grow together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, our generous sponsors, and the incredible committee who made this meaningful event possible.

A heartfelt thank you to our Signature Sponsor, Windstar Technologies Support, for their incredible support of Women’s LIFT 2025!
Stefanie Groot, CEO of Windstar Technologies, Inc., shared a powerful and personal story that reminded us how advancements in safety technology can help prevent undesired outcomes—and challenged us to consider: Do we have the right technology safeguards in place in our own businesses?

Last week, the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce was excited to attend a fascinating Lunch & Learn event hosted by Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery !
This session spotlighted their forward-thinking partnership with Vanguard Renewables, who shared an inside look at the farm-powered anaerobic digester currently under construction at Oakmulgee Dairy Farm outside of Richmond. This innovative project is expected to generate over 259,000 MMBtu of renewable natural gas per year while diverting more than 105,000 tons of food and beverage waste from landfills annually.
Even more inspiring—Prince Michel is open to assisting smaller wineries and breweries in participating with sustainability initiatives like this.
After the presentation, we were treated to a behind-the-scenes winery tour and exclusive barrel tasting with winemaker Bryan Jones.
Thank you to our hosts for an educational and delicious experience. We’re proud to see Chamber members making bold moves toward a cleaner, greener future!
