Culpeper Literacy Center hosted 2 students from CCHS as a part of their work-based learning externship in March.
Culpeper Literacy Center participated in Yowell Elementary School’s Reading Night to connect with parents about the power of literacy and share valuable resources.
Germanna Community College hosted a Women’s History Month Panel Discussion on March 13th. Their panel panel featured Sunithi Gnanadoss, Renee Garris, Sarida Saadeh, and Baaba Amoah, and they explored the powerful stories of how social constructs shaped their mothers’ and their own professional and personal journeys.
Germanna Community College Hosted their Spring 2025 Shop Days on March 26 & 27. For this event students in need can attend free shopping days to get essential items including food, baby supplies, children’s clothes, shoes, toys, household items, cleaning supplies, paper goods, personal hygiene products and business wear.
Germanna Community College will be hosting a Right Road Reentry Resource Fair on April 12th at their Fredericksburg Campus. This event will feature networking, vendors, guest speakers, raffles and more and focuses on equipping citizens returning from incarceration with a “toolbox for success.”
Our local NAACP Branch 7058 will be hosting their next book club on May 10th 1-2:30pm discussing “Finding Me” an acclaimed memoir by Viola Davis.
NAACP Branch 7058 hosted a foundational freedoms event/workshops on March 29th. Robert H Center for the Constitution. The next event will be April 26th 1-2:30pm at the Culpeper County Library.
Encompass Community Supports and Team Jordan are hosting a “Survivors for Life” Support Group on the 3rd Monday at every month at Peppers Grill at 6pm. This is a support group for those affected by the unique grief associated with the loss of a loved one to suicide.
Aging Together will host a Dementia Friends Information Session on April 8th at noon – this is a virtual session to receive guidance about how to interact and help a person living with dementia.

Encompass Community Supports’ S.E.E. Recovery Center continues to offer an array of recovery-oriented groups, meetings, and the opportunity to speak with someone about mental health or substance use recovery. Classes include: Anger management, AA, NA, Recovery from Grief, Family Support, Journaling, positive affirmations, pride support, substance use education, social safety and much more.

Encompass Community Supports and Culpeper Pride will be hosting a “Beyond the Stars Prom Night” Event for community members to re-experience prom in a fun and safe setting. This will take place on Friday May 16th 5-9pm at the Culpeper Event Center – 137 S Main St. Everyone ages 15+ are welcome!
The Culpeper Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our Women’s LIFT Women’s Professional Development event on Wednesday April 9th at 3pm at Prince Michel Winery.
Every other Wednesday in April the Culpeper County Library is hosting “Hora de Cuentos in Español” – Spanish Story Time at 10:30am.
Culpeper Pride will host the Culpeper Pride Festival at Mountain Run Winery on Sunday June 1st.
We are excited to announce that Culpeper County Library will be hosting a Cultural Fair on Saturday, May 31st from 10 AM to 1 PM and we would love to invite your organization to help us spread the word.
We are looking for individuals or groups who would like to host a booth to represent their heritage and share information with our patrons about different countries and cultures. Participants are welcome to bring items such as traditional clothing, flags, and other artifacts to display. We will provide tables and support to help make their booth setup easy and engaging.

April 2nd – “Around the World” Networking Reception (In-Person Event) – On Wednesday, April 2nd, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host the international trade directors from the 50 U.S. states and territories for an “Around the World” networking reception from 4:00 – 6:00 pm ET in our Lee Anderson Room. The event will emphasize the importance of foreign direct investment, trade with key allies, and partnership with local governments. This event is in collaboration with the State International Development Organizations (SIDO), the premier organization that represents local level international trade agencies. State trade agencies are critical to assisting companies with export activities and working to attract foreign direct investment. The reception is a unique opportunity to meet with respective trade directors — many of whom will be returning from foreign trade missions — and international experts in one place and connect you with regional partners, businesses and other stakeholders. We are expecting attendees from the private sector, U.S. House, U.S. Senate, Executive Branch, and embassies. Click here to register.
